Everyday Life Insurance is a licensed life insurance broker.

There are two main players in life insurance: carriers and brokers (sometimes called agents). Carriers are the insurance companies that actually underwrite your policy and pay out the claim. Brokers and agents are the ones who help you find and apply for that policy, but they don’t underwrite anything themselves.

Within that, brokers and agents fall into two categories. Captive agents work for one carrier and can only sell you that company’s products. Independent brokers, like us, aren’t tied to any single carrier. That means our recommendations are based on what’s the best fit for you, not on which company we’re contracted with.

At Everyday Life, we’re unbought and unmanaged by any insurers in order to maintain our objectivity when providing customers with a policy recommendation.

We only allow the very best insurance companies onto our platform. Our rigorous selection process is based on our deep insurance and financial planning expertise.

What is a life insurance carrier?

A carrier is the insurance company itself. They design the policies, set the underwriting guidelines, assume the financial risk, and pay out claims. When you buy directly from a carrier, you are buying one company’s product, evaluated against one company’s criteria, at one company’s price.

That’s not necessarily a bad experience. But it is a limited one. A carrier’s job is to sell you their policy. Whether or not that policy is the best fit for your age, health profile, and budget is not really their concern.

What is a life insurance broker?

A broker is a licensed intermediary who works on behalf of the buyer, not the carrier. Instead of selling one company’s product, a broker has access to policies from multiple carriers and helps match each customer to the option that makes the most sense for their situation.

Brokers are licensed and regulated, just like carriers. They are not a workaround or a shortcut. They are a legitimate (and often smarter) way to shop for coverage.

What is Everyday Life Insurance?

Everyday Life Insurance is a fully licensed insurance brokerage operating in all 50 states. We are not affiliated with any single carrier, and we’re not trying to sell you any one company’s product. Our job is to find the right policy for you across a marketplace of the nation’s most trusted and highly rated carriers.

What makes Everyday Life different from a traditional brokerage is how we do it. Instead of sitting across from an agent who asks you a series of questions and comes back with a recommendation, we’ve built proprietary technology that does that work for you. You answer a few questions, the platform evaluates your needs and health profile, and it matches you to the policy most likely to be a strong fit. The whole process takes about 15 minutes and can be done entirely online.

If you want to talk to someone, agents are available. But the platform is built so that you don’t have to.

Why the broker model works in your favor

When a carrier underwrites you, they apply their own guidelines to your application. A factor that leads to a higher rate at one carrier might be a complete non-issue at another. Most people who apply directly to a single carrier have no way of knowing whether they are getting a competitive rate, or whether a different carrier would have approved them faster, at a lower price, with better terms.

A broker, by contrast, understands the underwriting landscape across multiple carriers. Everyday Life’s technology is built to account for those differences, matching applicants to carriers whose criteria are a good fit for their profile.

It is also why Everyday Life holds a 4.8 out of 5 rating on Google.

Your information is your own

Everyday Life does not require your email address or phone number to show you a quote. You can see real, personalized pricing from real carriers before you commit to anything. That is not standard practice in this industry, but it’s a reflection of our purpose as a company: to help you find coverage, not to collect your information.

If you’re ready to see what coverage looks like for you, the free life insurance calculator typically takes about 15 minutes to get coverage.
